The Role

The Distribution centre (DC) Supervisor is responsible for managing the receiving, picking, dispatch team within the DC. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and completing administrative tasks using D365. The Distribution centre Supervisor must ensure that all processes and procedures adhere to the safety standards and operational guidelines of the Harris Farm Markets distribution centre and are executed to the highest agreed-upon standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Proven work experience as a DC Supervisor or Team Leader in a warehouse operation within a fast-paced environment, ideally exposure to dry goods and perishable.  
  • Strong focus on safety, compliance and operational excellence.
  • Expertise in warehouse management; specifically ensuring accurate receiving, storing, dispatching and quality of goods.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and delivery of efficient logistics operation.
  • Manage rosters and ensure adequate staff / resources (incl. forklifts) are available at all operation times.
  • Support the DC management ensure all employees are trained, qualified and competent in assigned roles
  • Support the DC inventory manager to maintain accurate inventory across the DC.
  • Experience within the Supply Chain and Transport environments.
  • Strong self-motivation, drive & initiative. 
  • Demonstrable ability to lead, motivate and manage teams. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good IT skills, confident in using MS Office, D365 and WMS.


Qualifications:

  • Holds a current forklift license essential, LO (auto-picker) license desirable.
  • Holds a current Driver’s License.
  • First aid certificate desirable.
