Join Our Harris Farm Family as a Senior Injury Support Officer!
At Harris Farm Markets, we’re committed to creating a safe and supportive work environment for all our team members. As our Senior Injury Support Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Safety, managing workers’ compensation claims, and driving continuous improvement in injury management and recovery processes. This is a hands-on role where you’ll interact with a range of internal and external stakeholders, making a real difference to our employees’ wellbeing.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this crucial role, you’ll oversee the management of workers' compensation claims and coordinate early intervention treatment for injured employees. You’ll be there from the very first incident, ensuring that employees receive the support they need and helping them on their journey back to work. You’ll maintain close communication with employees, store leaders, insurers, and other key stakeholders to ensure a smooth and supportive recovery process.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Early Intervention – You’ll review incidents, make sure they’re accurately reported, and ensure that injured employees are connected with the right support immediately.
- Workers’ Compensation Management – You’ll make sure all incidents are reported in a timely and compliant manner, liaise with insurers and key stakeholders, and coordinate return-to-work plans that support recovery.
- Recovery at Work Plans – You’ll work with employees, store leaders, and the safety team to create, monitor, and review recovery plans that help injured employees get back to work safely.
- Continuous Improvement – Work with the safety team to identify hazards, drive safety strategies, and support ongoing improvement of our injury management processes and systems.
- Stakeholder Relationships – You’ll build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and insurance providers to ensure best practice injury management and support.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience: At least 5 years’ experience in claims management, rehabilitation consultation, or allied health.
- Qualifications: NSW SIRA Return to Work Coordinator Certificate (and if you’ve got additional qualifications like the ACT or QLD certifications, that’s a bonus!).
- Education: A relevant Allied Health degree (or similar).
- A Driver’s License: You’ll need to travel to different sites, so a full driver’s license is a must.
- Communication Skills: You’ll be dealing with a range of stakeholders, so strong communication skills are essential.
- Organisational Skills: You’ll juggle multiple tasks and priorities, so being organized and managing your time effectively is key.
