About Us

Are you ready for a very different experience?

Hamilton Locke is an international law firm evolving the traditional approach to corporate and commercial legal services. We are constantly removing the layers of bureaucracy, reacting quickly to change, providing exceptional service, and finding creative solutions to deliver smart advice.

We have offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Newcastle and Auckland, with our clients located across Australia, New Zealand and Internationally.

We are agile and flexible in our approach, with innovative systems, processes and technology enabling our people to deliver smart, creative client solutions. We customise delivery teams and models, so our clients get exactly what they need from one place, in exactly the way it’s needed.

We are an exciting, rapidly growing firm and have consistently been recognised as one of Australia’s fastest growing law firms.

The role

We’re looking for a Senior Associate to join our growing Workplace & Employment team in Perth. This is an opportunity to work alongside Emily Cossgrove and play an integral part of her practice growth and development.

Emily is an experienced employment lawyer. Her practice involves advising clients on complex employment issues under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth), preparing executive employment terms for C-suite roles, conducting workplace investigations and resolving industrial disputes. Emily’s team also works closely with Hamilton Locke’s M&A teams nationally to advise on employment aspects of commercial transactions and corporate restructures.

We’re looking for someone

  • with 5+ years’ experience;
  • who has private practice employment law experience;
  • with a genuine passion for employment and workplace law;
  • who wants a fantastic team culture; and
  • with an entrepreneurial and innovative mind-set.

Our people experience

Hamilton Locke is a law firm with a difference working to evolve the traditional business model. We have built a high-growth, people-centric business that maximises our 'people experience' (PX) and believe this delivers the best 'client experience' (CX). We foster a vibrant culture, putting our people at the forefront of everything we do.

We are agile and flexible in our approach, with innovative state-of-the-art systems and technology that frees up our team from bureaucracy and administration. We actively develop a culture that supports employee health, wellness and development.

Put simply, we have created a work environment based on respect, trust, development, collaboration and innovation. This allows our people to grow and be the best version of themselves. In turn, this enables our people to do their best work, which ultimately makes our clients happy. This is a win-win-win.

We put our people’s experience at the centre of everything we do.

We are more than just a law firm.
