The role

We’re looking for a Lawyer or Senior Associate to join our Tax practice in Sydney. We’re a diverse group, and are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, hard-working and fun. 

This would be working closely with Seema Sandhu. Seema has extensive experience acting for clients across a range of industries including telecommunications, resources, financial services, professional services, transport and construction. She has advised clients on matters relating to M&A, private equity, tax structuring, property transactions, employee share schemes and general tax advisory.

Seema specialises in the tax-effective structuring of mergers and acquisitions, both cross-border and within Australia. She has advised on the Australian structuring aspects of various private equity funds, including their initial fund establishment, the acquisition, restructure and divestment of portfolio companies, and fund remuneration arrangements. Seema has also represented clients in managing tax reviews and audits from the Australian Taxation Office. 

We’re looking for someone: 

  • with 4+ years’ experience in corporate tax;
  • with a genuine passion for, and desire to develop further tax law expertise;
  • who has a strong sense of purpose, ambition, confidence and a proactive approach to their work;
  • with a desire to work with existing and new clients on business growth; and
  •  who is friendly, has a sense of humour, is down to earth/authentic, and who is also hard working, focused and ambitious.
