The role
We’re looking for a Lawyer to join our Sydney office to work alongside John Frangi (Head of Real Estate / Head of Sydney), as part of a collaborative and high performing team.
John is a Legal 500 and Doyles ranked practitioner who specialises in property development, major tenancy leasing, sales and acquisitions. John is also experienced in mergers and acquisitions and advising on land contamination issues. He is a highly skilled negotiator who manages large and complex transactions and resolves issues at all levels within the private and public sector.
The Real Estate Group represents a diverse range of clients, including REIT’s, government entities, retailers, developers, landlords and insolvency practitioners in relation to:
- The acquisition and disposal of shopping centres, hotels, childcare centres, industrial warehouses, petrol stations and marinas;
- The negotiation of development management arrangements (including for mixed use, retail and industrial assets);
- The development and leasing of large format supermarkets and liquor stores, childcare centres, petrol stations and industrial warehouses, in addition to routine leasing work across the commercial, retail, industrial and office sectors;
- The leasing of port facilities and telecommunications infrastructure; and
- Distressed real estate transactions.
We’re looking for someone:
- With 2+ years’ experience, ideally in a private practice environment;
- Who has Real Estate law experience;
- With shopping centre experience, which is advantageous however not essential;
- With a genuine passion for Real Estate;
- Who wants a fantastic team culture; and
- With an entrepreneurial and innovative mind-set.
