The Sr. SEC Reporting Manager under broad direction, provides leadership and directs finance and accounting functions for large or complex defined department or groups within corporate or cost accounting.
- Location: Houston, TX | Primarily onsite but will have opportunity to work a hybrid schedule.
- Shift Details: Typically 50-60 hours per week.
- Assignment Length: This is a two month assignment with no opportunity to convert to full time employee.
- Pay Rate: $133.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the measurement and performance of business activities in multiple accounting functions that are responsible for the preparation of financial statements, performance of business systems, or accounting processes.
- Responsible for managing the recruitment, training, and development of accounting personnel within the assigned area.
- Provides timely and accurate financial reporting information, business and financial analysis, and interpretation of trends and presents findings and recommendations to senior accounting management using diverse communication tools.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates financial analysis, report preparation, and operating/financial performance measures.
- Coordinates forecasting, budgeting, and annual plan preparation.
- Maintains performance standards that ensure compliance with internal management reporting requirements and business practices and maintains strong internal control environment.
- Responsible for ensuring relevant reporting complies with accounting principles and government regulations.
- Participates in balance sheet review and management that ensures the accuracy of financial statements.
Qualifications:
- Applies technical accounting skills acquired through completion of an accounting or business university degree and ten (10) years of progressive experience in finance or accounting related roles.
- Must have substantial experience with SEC filings- 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K filings including Earnings Release and Call Scripts
- Experience working for/with Large Accelerator public filing company(ies).
- CPA preferred
- Proficiency with key business systems including SAP, Hyperion, and Workiva.
Demonstrates advanced levels of proficiency with business, industry, and company acumen, as well as performance management and leadership skills gained through diverse experience and multiple roles within finance and accounting.
