The Senior Procurement Specialist under general supervision, plans sourcing of goods and services to support manufacturing, field operations or project management.

  • Salary: $75,788.00 - $112,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Category Management strategies in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Create Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and organize competitive bidding processes to secure optimal quality, delivery, and pricing.
  • Implement agreements for local procurement of goods and services not covered under Category Management.
  • Develop, lead, and implement sourcing activities for field operations, focusing on Rentals, Equipment Repair & Maintenance, Welding, Fabrication & Machining, and general MRO categories.
  • Lead and facilitate sourcing activities through tactical and strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations using negotiation and sourcing analysis techniques, implementing contracts with a focus on quality, delivery, total cost, and service.
  • Conduct Spend Analysis and discuss sourcing opportunities with stakeholders.
  • Negotiate multi-year commercial conditions with suppliers.
  • Assess supplier performance and conduct reviews to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Manage complex operations or large expenditures as needed.
  • Mentor and develop less experienced Procurement Specialists.
  • Impact cost containment, efficiency, profitability, and operations through effective job tasks.

Education Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in negotiating and developing supplier relationships in Equipment Repair & Maintenance, Welding, Fabrication & Machining, and general MRO categories.
  • Prior knowledge and experience working in SAP Ariba.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or similar certification.
  • Basic procurement certification preferred.
  • Skills typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Strategic Sourcing experience, including RFQ/RFP execution.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using tools like Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience in calculating Total Cost of Ownership for goods and services, especially in sourcing decisions.
  • Experience working within an ERP system, preferably SAP.
