The QA/QC Inspector under direct supervision, responsible for performing quality evaluations on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings, specifications, prescribed methods, and instructions.
- Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.50/hour
- Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension based on performance and other factors.
- Shift Details: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm | 40 hour working week | 30 min unpaid lunch break each day
Responsibilities:
- Performs inspection of various operations activities.
- Identifies and reports non- conformance to known standards using various measuring and testing methods.
- May perform final adjustments.
- Generates reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notifies operations and Quality Assurance/Quality Control management of significant problems, completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
- May be responsible for conducting the magnetic particle and penetrant testing of parts and initiating and processing non-conformance reports.
- Assures that all products and processes represent the desired quality, safety, efficiency and reliability levels.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a high school diploma or GED and a minimum 1 year of relevant experience is required.
- 3-5 years experience which includes Quality and/or Industry experience is preferred.
- Proficiency using micrometers and calipers.
- Experience using SAP preferred.
- Proficiency reading blueprints, schematics, drawings.
- Analytical approach and proven improvement techniques.
- Good knowledge of International Codes and Standards (i.e. ISO, ASME, AWS, ASTM, API).
- Able to assist in process development on a technical level.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to people of all levels.
- Must have computer ability i.e., Microsoft Office, or related.
- Ability to perform visual and dimensional inspection.
- Ability to detect defects and deviations for a variety of standards .
- Ability to read and interpret industry standards and regulations.
- Attention to detail and critical thinking.
