ABOUT THE PROJECT

ETHOS is Chatswood's first luxury residential and mixed-use development in almost four years. Exclusively centered within the heart of Chatswood and valued at $60 million, Ethos is a rare collection of ultra-luxury 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom residences and penthouses enriched by remarkable vistas and experiences including wellness facilities, boutique retail and a sky lounge.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be reporting to our Project Engineer, who enjoys coming to work with people that are self-driven but can also have a laugh along the way. You will be joining the team as they complete the structure and move into fitout, and they need your help to kick into the next stage.

As part of the engineering team your role will be to drive the ITP process. At Growthbuilt, we take our quality processes very seriously, which means there is a detailed step-by-step process. Don’t worry we will teach you the Growthbuilt Way, and you can have confidence that everything we do meets the right standard. There’s a lot to do, but you will be the kind of person who thrives under pressure.

You will be surrounded by people you can learn from at every turn, working with the expertise of our Building Services Engineer and Senior Design Manager, and alongside another Site Engineer and a Cadet. The Project Engineer you will be working for is one of the best role models we've got, and is ready to teach you everything he knows - he's even the mentor for the company wide Engineers group that you'll be joining.

Here’s what your day to day might look like:

  • Participate in the development, implementation of ITPs
  • Assisting in the establishment, maintenance and monitoring of project quality standards and procedures
  • Identify and speak up when there are issues with the project, drive the development and implementation of solutions.
  • Review subcontractor quality documentation and checklists to ensure compliance
  • Review quality of subcontract works on site and communicate them with the project team
  • Assist with ensuring design is completed to standard and on time to maintain program
  • Manage, monitor and control the flow of technical information between the design disciplines and internal and external stakeholders
  • Review consultant and subcontractor output for compliance with the design brief
  • Reference tender package content for scope of work, product usage and design logic are carried out - where applicable

ABOUT YOU

You will be right for this role if you have:

  • 2-3 years experience in a construction / engineering role
  • If you have less experience, we're happy to support a Graduate Site Engineer
  • Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a team
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and organisation skills
  • Degree qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management
  • Proficiency in Procore, MS Suite and Aconex (or similar)
