The Role:
As a key member of our People & Culture team, we are looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to help drive talent management, employee engagement, and leadership development across the organisation. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, you'll be responsible for implementing strategies that support employee growth, enhance performance, and strengthen our workplace culture.
In this role, you will work closely with managers to develop their leadership capabilities and ensure smooth HR processes, from performance feedback to employee relations. You will also oversee employee engagement initiatives, including the rollout of the engagement survey and action plans to ensure we are continuously improving.
The team you will be joining is small but mighty. We have achieved a lot in our short time together, but we still have a long way to go in creating our ideal processes and systems and overall employee experience. Sometimes that means things can be messy. This is a role for someone who is not only comfortable with that, but will get a kick out of automating, fixing and coming up with creative solutions to improve things together.
Here's what your day-to-day might look like:
- Develop and implement game changing strategies for talent management, retention, diversity, and performance improvement.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, including the rollout of the engagement survey and action plan.
- Partner with managers to enhance their leadership capabilities, and manage any performance and employee relations issues if they arise.
- Support the implementation of leadership development programs.
- Oversee the development planning and performance feedback cycle to support employee growth and development.
- Manage the HR inbox and HRIS, ensuring smooth employee movement processes and handling employee and manager inquiries.
- Support the Head of People & Culture in the annual Remuneration Review process.
- Contribute to LinkedIn employer branding content, manage employee recognition initiatives, and create content for career pages to attract the right talent.
- Get creative with employee communications! Update the company intranet with news, events, and key announcements.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar HR generalist role.
- A solid understanding of employee relations and experience with performance management - this doesn't come up a lot but when it does you'll be on the case.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with managers
- Ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, you’re always looking for ways to improve and innovate.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
What’s in it for you?
- Hybrid work between our Woolloomooloo office and home - currently 4 days in the office, and 1-day WFH
- Work closely with our Head of People & Culture to develop your HR skillset.
- This is a role where your ideas matter. You'll have the autonomy to come up with and implement creative solutions that drive real change.
- Enjoy the freedom to think outside the box and transform processes rather than just rolling out the same initiatives year after year.
