ABOUT THE TEAM
Growthbuilt are seeking an energetic, collaborative individual to join our inhouse design team working on multiple projects across the commercial and residential space. Our Design team consult with both internal and external stakeholders ensuring that standards of technical compliance, quality, cost, safety, sustainability, and environmental performance are observed and that time schedules are met.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Design Manager, here’s what your day to day might look like:
- Facilitate design, cost, buildability and design program and milestone status reviews to the project team.
- Ensure designs are delivered to meet Construction program requirements and Tender Letting Schedules.
- Effectively manage stakeholder reviews, feedback, approvals and key decisions in a timely manner in line with the design and construction program milestone requirements.
- Oversee drawing, specification and construction documentation production, review and milestone issues.
- Formally engage consultants and oversee their deliverables to ensure the highest quality of work and the successful achievement of design milestones.
- Review and co-ordinate drawings and documents for cost-effective and timely use in projects.
- Manage the documentation and drawing review process ensuring all parties are familiar with the latest status of the design process.
- Manage all necessary Authority & PCA approvals and check design is compliant with NCC Building requirements.
- Liaise with Design Team to ensure Construction certificate documentation is obtained ahead of program and OC certification requirements are adequately communicated.
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary-level qualification in Architecture, Urban Development, or related field
- Minimum 5 + years architectural experience essential
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry and the design process and Australian building standards, codes and legislation
- Proven ability to develop effective and innovative resolutions to complex design problems
- High level of communication and able to negotiate strategically with commercial acumen
- High competency in problem solving, demonstrating humility with team focused goal-oriented outcomes
