Landscaping Construction Team Member

About the Role

As a Softscape Team Member, you will play a vital role as part of a team that creates and maintains beautiful green spaces for across the City of Sydney. This hands-on position is for someone who enjoys the more physical aspects of garden maintenance work. You will be performing landscape construction activities, such as turfing, paving rectification, and other softscape installations.

• Participate in landscape construction activities, including turfing, laying pavers, and rectifying paving issues.
• Plant trees, shrubs, ground covers, and other softscape elements according to landscape plans and specifications.
• Prepare sites for softscape installation by clearing debris, levelling ground, and amending soil as necessary.
• Ensure worksites are clean, organised, and safe throughout and after project completion.

About You

• Previous experience in landscaping, horticulture, or related fields
• Ability to undertake physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying and bending
• A basic understanding of landscape techniques is advantageous but not essential
• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and clients
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols
