About the Role

We are currently seeking a talented Small Engine Mechanic to join our dedicated team. This crucial role ensures that our operations run smoothly every day by maintaining and repairing the smaller machines that are essential to our work. Your expertise will be key to making sure these machines are safe, cost-effective, and always ready to tackle the tasks at hand.

As a Small Engine Mechanic, your primary focus will be on keeping our equipment in optimal condition. This involves performing regular maintenance, executing timely repairs, and coordinating with the rest of the crew to ensure seamless operations. Your work will play a significant role in reducing downtime for our field workers, helping us complete projects efficiently and without delays.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain and service small plant equipment such as ride on mowers, push mowers, brush cutters, chain saws, blowers, hedgers, atom edgers, power tools and more
  • Maintain and service tractors and trailers
  • Perform chemical spray pack servicing
  • Conduct electrical diagnosis and hydraulic diagnostics
  • Keep the workshop safe, clean and free of any hazards
  • Perform some onsite / mobile servicing as required

About You

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate required
  • Experience with maintenance and repair of small plant equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Ability to use tools and equipment safely and effectively
  • Possession of a valid manual driver's licence and ability to tow a trailer is essential
  • Welding and Fabrications experience advantageous (not essential)
  • Diesel engine experience advantageous (but not essential)
