About the role

As a Greenkeeper at Moore Park Golf Club, you'll be a key part of maintaining and enhancing the stunning turf areas that make this golf course a true masterpiece!

Reporting directly to the Golf Course Superintendent, this hands-on role will see you implementing cutting-edge sustainable practices while delivering nothing short of exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, aerating, and topdressing to uphold the quality and playability of turf surfaces
• Monitor turf health and proactively address issues such as pests, diseases, and compaction through appropriate cultural and chemical practices
• Implement sustainable turf management practices, including water conservation strategies, and pest management techniques
• Operate and maintain specialised turf equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Collaborate with the landscaping team to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritise tasks, and deliver exceptional results
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their expectations, address concerns, and provide turf care recommendations

About You

You are an experienced greenkeeper/sports turf professional with a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management, and we're particularly excited if you've worked on a golf course before – that experience will be highly regarded!

Your extensive knowledge of turfgrass species, growth habits, and maintenance requirements sets you apart from the crowd.

You have a white card, current driver's licence, and you're willing to obtain a working with children check.

You take tremendous pride in your comprehensive knowledge around turf maintenance techniques and your ability to safely and efficiently operate all the machinery and equipment used on a golf course.

Reliable, punctual and with a great can-do attitude, you are a self-motivated person who thrives on maintaining high standards of work. You have strong organisational skills coupled with excellent communication skills and you have proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team.
