As we kick off 2025 with six new sites in the pipeline, GemLife is expanding and we’re looking for a Senior to work in our Residential Estimating Team, to assist in the smooth delivery of our many projects, including production homes, luxury residences and townhouses and some small commercial buildings.

Residential experience is essential, we are looking for at least 10 years' experience in Estimating within a high-volume building company.

The Role | Deliver Excellence

As a Senior Estimator, you’ll oversee and support the estimating team, ensuring the smooth delivery of project costings and procurement while maintaining strong trade and supplier relationships.

•  Prepare & review detailed project costings, take-offs & cost plans
•  Collaborate with site managers, suppliers & key stakeholders across departments
•  Maintain pricing structures and drive supplier negotiations
•  Monitor variations & track project financial performance
• Assist the Estimating Manager in any ad-hoc projects and being available to assist the Estimators with any questions.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven estimating experience in residential construction
• Ten years estimating experience as a minimum.
• Strong organisational skills & ability to prioritise deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Databuild and construction estimating processes
• Trade background (carpentry preferred) or Diploma in Building & Construction (Estimating)
