About the Role

The Management Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our growing tourism tech businesses. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual who can work autonomously, establish new processes, implement best practices, and manage system integrations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a B2B or B2C tech business, have broad accounting systems experience and be able to work effectively with remote teams. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform accommodation creditors and debtors reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. 
  • Conduct bank account reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. 
  • Ensure accurate recording of accommodation booking transactions and prepare an accurate P&L and Balance Sheet each month. 
  • Recognise revenue from app downloads via various app stores in multiple currencies. 
  • As the business matures, ensure accounting controls are in place and implement additional reporting as required by senior management. 
  • Liaise with accommodation suppliers and wholesalers as required. 
  • Manage one staff member, with the potential for team growth over time. 
  • Gain an understanding of the business to provide senior management with accounting advice and knowledge as requested. 
  • Ensure all accommodation suppliers are paid according to agreed payment terms. 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Experience in a high-volume business, particularly in a B2B or B2C tech business within the tourism/hotels wholesaler segment. 
  • Strong analytical skills with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role. 
  • Qualified Accountant, at a minimum. 
  • Self-starter, proactive, and able to take initiative. 
  • Broad accounting systems experience including integrated systems. 
  • Ability to establish new processes and implement best practices. 
  • Strong reconciliation skills.
