The Role

Our software engineering teams have built some of Australia’s most popular websites and apps, with millions of unique visitors each year to our digital platforms. The G'day Group is undergoing a significant period of growth and is investing in technology and business processes to ensure we can provide market leading digital experiences for our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate leader to lead a team of software engineers, delivering premier customer experiences on mobile and web platforms.

You will be required to have strong technical expertise in the Web technologies, hands-on coding skills, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement. As the Senior Full Stack Developer you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and testers, to deliver high-quality, performant, and user-friendly mobile and web applications.

Responsibilities will include:

Full Stack Application Development:

• Develop mobile and web applications using the latest technologies, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Design and develop efficient, reliable, and user-friendly applications using Flutter and other applicable frameworks and front-end technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following industry best practices and coding standards.
• Implement responsive UIs, smooth animations, and interactive features to deliver an exceptional user experience.
• Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, pixel-perfect interfaces.
• Ensure the performance, stability, and security of the applications, conducting thorough testing and debugging.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate third-party libraries as needed.
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and software testing methodologies.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, designers, and QA engineers, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of mobile and web applications.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements, provide technical insights, work estimations, and contribute to product planning and roadmap.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify areas of improvement in the development process, tools, and methodologies, and propose and implement solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in mobile and web application development.
• Conduct code refactoring, optimization, and documentation to ensure high-quality and maintainable codebase.

Your Experience

To be successful in this role you will have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field. You will have strong expertise in front-end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks, as well as a solid understanding of .NET framework and C# experience, and web and/or mobile application development principles.

You will have the ability to confidently engage with all levels of the business and communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will understand the common patterns and antipatterns for architecture and solution design. 

You will have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. You will possess a high level of energy, self-motivation, autonomy, initiative, and attention to detail to be successful in meeting the business demands at G’day Group.
