About the Role

At G’day Group, we’re on a mission to become the undisputed leader in regional travel experiences, and we're about to embark on an exciting journey to update our back-office systems. Our new Financial Core and Procurement system will be vital in supporting the current and future needs of our business. We are seeking a forward-thinking, hands-on Systems Accountant to play a key role in ensuring seamless financial integrations and robust reporting structures.

As the Systems Accountant, you will work closely with the project team to implement and oversee the new finance systems, ensuring that processes such as procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and record-to-report are efficiently supported. Once the project is complete, you’ll take a leading role in governing finance systems across the G’day Group, ensuring the integrity of financial data in satellite systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the project team to plan and implement the new Finance and Procurement System.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data migrated from legacy systems.
  • Develop and maintain a register of financial data held across operational systems, ensuring alignment with the Finance system.
  • Support end-of-month and end-of-year processes to ensure accurate financial reconciliation.
  • Maintain published financial reports and analysis models, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Assist Finance teams with data extraction, insights, and reporting.
  • Contribute to system upgrades, testing, and integration improvements.
  • Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Skills & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, particularly in systems implementation and support.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Workday Financials preferred).
  • Familiarity with maintaining financial data in satellite systems (RMS Cloud or H&L experience highly regarded).
  • Understanding of database functions and concepts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate finance and procurement processes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills, with the ability to meet project deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
