About the Role

Due to an exciting period of growth, we are seeking an experienced Contract and Procurement Specialist to join our team in Perth. This position will initially be offered on a 12 Month Max Term Contract with the potential for extension.

You will find yourself working closely with our Commercial Manager, Project Managers and delivery leads and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of local and international detailed engineering projects and developing and executing our EPCM capability and projects.

This is a real opportunity to be part of a strong period of growth and have meaningful input into helping build and execute our PCM capability.

Brief Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers, ensuring they comply with legal requirements and company standards.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance with Head Contract obligations.
  • Liaise with internal leadership and external clients and service providers across all project related matters.
  • Prepare and issue requests for proposals, quotations and tenders.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with our clients, suppliers and subcontractors,
  • Strong focus on effective change management ensuring compliance with time related obligations.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, including expenditures, savings, and performance metrics, along with providing timely updates to project stakeholders on contract and procurement milestones.

About You

  • Relevant qualifications in either construction management, legal, or quantity surveying desirable
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a comparable role within construction, mining, or engineering
  • Experience in both detailed engineering and EPCM environments is desirable
  • Experience in the tendering process, contract negotiation, and thoroughly reviewing packages prior to award. 
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and attention to detail in reviewing, negotiating, cost optimisation, and working with contractual agreements.
  • Developing both procurement and contracting strategy experience will be a key to success in this position due to the nature and status of the initial project.
  • Strong skills in development of reports with an eye to continuously improve how information is delivered to stakeholders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (Written and Verbal) with the ability to positively influence others
  • Strong analytical skills and with a solutions focused approach to problem-solving skills
  • Advance experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel
  • Proficient with Sharepoint and Sage – highly beneficial
