About the Role

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for Senior Structural Engineers to join our established team based in Brisbane. Working alongside our highly successful and dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to refine your skills across a variety of exciting projects.

The ideal candidate would be technically savvy with exposure to similar projects within the Mining & Minerals Processing industry, and will be good at expressing themselves, self-motivated and have a desire to learn and grow.

Key duties

  • Structural design of materials handling and processing facility structures such as conveyors, bins, and hydrometallurgical process plants.
  • Development of cost-effective designs that are project-appropriate and to the clients’ needs.
  • Provision of technical support and guidance to the drafting team during the preparation of preliminary and detailed design models / documents.
  • Maintenance and fostering relationships within the DRA structural engineering team, other members of the overall DRA multidisciplinary team, clients, and contractors.

 You will have

  • Relevant civil/structural degree
  • 5+ years of design experience in resources processing or mining
  • Well-developed communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software packages such as Space Gass
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office products, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience using advanced analysis tools such as Strand7 would be an advantage
  • Excellent attitude, team focus and commitment towards safety
