Your Role

There is no typical working week at Flybuys. But here are some of the things you will be working on, day-to-day;

• Become the domain expert engineer for flybuys Identity & Access Management (IAM) Platform.
• Support the ongoing enhancement to flybuys Identity Platform across our web, mobile and digital channels within AWS Cloud.
• Put in place strong engineering & operational practices to ensure IAM platform and related services is operating efficiently and effectively.

Identity Platform:

• Domain expert engineer for flybuys Identity & Access Management (IAM) Platform across our Membership, Partners and Staff supporting over 10M+ accounts namely: Ping Identity (PingFederate, PingDataGovernance, PingDirectory, PingOne).
• Drive the on-going enhancements to flybuys Identity Platform across our web, mobile and digital channels within AWS Cloud.
• Ensure IAM platform and related services is operating efficiently and effectively through strong engineering & operational practices.
• Build and support features and security controls for audit, legal and security stakeholders.
• Build and support self-service infrastructure automation for common platform capabilities.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability etc.
• Work with identity experts to strive for greater functionality in our identity systems.
• Recommend different ways to constantly improve reliability and quality.
• Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance.
• Ensure new and legacy applications meet quality standards.
• Ability and motivation to be innovative when finding solutions.
• Desire to learn new and exciting technologies.

Technology Strategy:

• Work closely with internal customers (architects, developers, operations) to understand requirements /pain points and define and build solutions.
• Ensure that all business/company requirements as well as industry practices.
• Research new uses for identity platform to support flybuys Identity Strategy.
• Research and suggest new identity technologies or framework.
• Recommending changes and enhancements to identity platform and related services.

Training:

• Keeping up to date with the terminology, concepts and best practices in IAM technologies.
• Training & creating documentation for development best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with new technology trends.

Your Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology and/or Business or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of experience in the IT Security and/or IT Operations field.
• 3+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM) related technologies.
• 2+ years of experience with Ping Identity (PingFederate, PingDataGovernance, PingDirectory, PingOne).
• 2+ years related experience providing technical support at an Enterprise level.
• Experience / Certification with industry leading Identity Platforms (Ping, Okta, etc).
• Relevant AWS Cloud Experience and/or Certifications.

Hands on experience working with identity & web technologies and frameworks:

• Industry leading suite of software and services products centered around industry standards (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, FIDO, LDAP, SSO, Directory and MFA).
• Experience in Java, Python and other Scripting languages.
• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), X.509 certificates
• Internet Protocols (HTTPS/SSL/TLS etc).
• Linux-based and/or Windows server OS management.
• Active Directory, LDAP-based directories.
• Relational Database systems such as Oracle, PostgreSQL.
• Web-application servers (i.e. Apache, IIS, NGINX, Tomcat).
