Your Role

There is no typical working week at Flybuys. But here are some of the things you might be working on, day-to-day;

  • Monitor and Report: Track and analyse usage across various software licensing models - consumption-based, fixed-limit, per-seat contracts and generate insightful reports 
  • License Management: Take ownership of renewing licenses for existing SaaS products and managing new software licenses entering the business 
  • Cost Control: Engage with stakeholders when licenses or usage reach thresholds to prevent extra costs and ensure efficient use of resources 
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand their needs for new software and ensure licensing aligns with business objectives 
  • Stakeholder Communication: Keep stakeholders informed about cost management efforts, technology implementations and other key projects 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, finance, HR, and other departments to align technology initiatives with business goals 
  • Vendor Coordination: Work with technology partners and resellers to obtain quotes that meet business requirements and oversee the provision of licenses through SaaS portals 
  • Process Improvement: Continuously refine processes related to IT procurement, cost management and workplace technology 
  • Workflow and Approvals: Stage-gate approval for software requests in the provisioning workflow 
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with finance teams to develop budgets for cloud services and workplace technology, ensuring accurate forecasting of costs and financial impact 
  • Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend workplace technology solutions that improve productivity, collaboration, and employee satisfaction 
  • Vendor Management: Build and manage relationships with workplace technology vendors, negotiate contracts and ensure service levels are consistently met 
  • Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and propose innovative technology solutions to boost efficiency and productivity 
  • Cloud Usage Monitoring: Track cloud usage and spending to identify areas where costs can be reduced 
  • Cost Optimisation: Develop and implement strategies to optimise cloud costs and streamline technology spending 
  • Data Analysis: Analyse cloud usage trends to spot opportunities for further cost efficiency 
  • Financial Modelling & Reporting: Create financial models to forecast and track cloud costs, produce reports and dashboards to share these insights with stakeholders 
  • Cost Allocation & Chargebacks: Develop and maintain processes for allocating cloud costs to departments or projects, ensuring transparency and accountability 
  • Negotiation: Lead negotiations with technology partners in collaboration with procurement to secure favourable pricing and contract terms 

Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field 
  • 3-4 year’s experience in IT asset lifecycle management, software licence management (SaaS), workplace technology, cloud cost management or a similar role 
  • Understanding of financial principles, budgeting and cost management in IT 
  • Experience in managing workplace technology solutions, including SaaS, collaboration platforms and hardware 
  • Proven experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts 
  • Exposure to Cloud solutions and ITIL is desirable 
  • A self-starter with the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment 
  • Customer, analytical & improvement mindset with strong attention to detail 
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple complex priorities 
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills 
  • Stakeholder management 
  • Inquisitive with a passion for learning
