Your Role:
There is no typical working week at Flybuys. But here are some of the things you might be working on, day-to-day;
Leadership
- Fully partake in Mobile and Identity Platform group leadership to contribute to a broader capability uplift across the area including continuous delivery, capability uplift and platform-as-product management.
- Help inspire and provide a clear purpose for the platform teams such that team members put in the discretionary effort and report strong engagement as measured by employee surveys.
- Help manage capacity and team culture such that small changes that unlock progress to company priorities are willingly undertaken by teams.
Platform-as-Product Management
- Formulate and communicate product value propositions such that the platforms are willingly adopted by Product Engineering and Marketing teams and people voluntarily make choices to use the Mobile and Identity platforms ahead of creating or procuring a separate service themselves.
- Develop, socialise and deliver on a platform as a product roadmap such that Product Engineers and Marketing feedback that you deliver faster, safer and with greater quality when using the Mobile and Identity platforms.
- Make and communicate great prioritisation decisions that balance commercial, strategic, risk, technology, team engagement, stakeholder, and customer (including Marketing, Marketing Operations and Product Engineering customer) concerns. Where your decision-making prowess is lauded during retrospectives and reviews.
Stakeholder Management
- Proactively engage and maintain stakeholder relationships including management of dependencies such that issues surface in advance of impacting product development progress.
- Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to identify their requirements such that Marketing, Marketing Operations and Product Engineering feedback that their expectations are met and frequently exceeded.
- Evangelise the platform services such that teams willingly adopt your services and report that they know the direction of the platform and have aligned their team’s plans with your roadmap.
Technical and Operational Excellence
- Lead, grow, and manage teams to deliver and support high-quality solutions that meet or exceed system health metrics including security, performance, and quality metrics.
- Contribute to the platform strategy to set, track, manage and report on the OKRs
- Deliver needle-moving results to help achieve the business OKRs
Knowledge Sharing and Subject Matter Expertise
- Stay across changes in the industry or relevant professions such that colleagues’ feedback they are learning and enthused by you.
- Provide thought leadership with respect Platform-as-Product Management such that you are seen as the go-to person for technical product management and are known for helping to create a vibrant and educated Flybuys technical community.
- Experienced working in Platform-as-Product teams or have applied the practices at your previous roles.
- You have worked in a platform-as-product teams or applied the practices at your previous roles
Your Experience:
- An experienced product professional with a track record of working across technology led product workflows for mobile apps and identity systems
- Proven track record of translating mobile and identity platform requirements into user stories
- Proven track record of managing mobile and identity development team backlog and successfully prioritising based on business objectives
- Experience working with cross-functional delivery teams across software engineering, developers, data analytics, etc.
- Experience managing business stakeholder expectations and understanding business/customer objectives (translating to backlog management)
- Solid understanding of product management principles/agile delivery cycles
- Competent understanding of JIRA/similar software for managing tickets/development backlog
