Quality Assurance Supervisor

Job Description

Our client, a leading beverage company, is currently seeking an accomplished Quality Assurance Supervisor to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:

1) Be responsible for the supervision of assigned QC Inspectors

2) Assist in formulating and maintaining quality control objectives for the manufacturing

3) Review and implement methods and procedures for monitoring work activities to include weight control, moisture, decaffeination analysis, sanitation and food safety

4) Ensure the company is following all food safety rules, guidelines and laws as mandated by the federal government and customer-specific requirements

5) Drive FSMA and FSVP regulations to ensure compliance

6) Monitor, record and validate all food safety checks, including HACCP, CPs, sanitation verification and all other quality and food safety programs

7) Execute or coordinate outside third-party microbiology tests on environment samples and water sources in accordance with QA requirements

8) Train production employees in functions, specific to quality control tasks, standards, and responsibilities

9) Enforce and ensure all areas are clean and well organized with proper reports to management of GMP violations, inspecting facility on a daily basis

10) Ensure equipment SOP, calibration, and verification efforts are effectively implemented and executed

11) Audit procedures, programs, and verifications, post and pre-production, implementing necessary corrective actions, when needed

12) Serve as designated SQF Practitioner

13) Assist with the Marketing and Sales Team requests for blend analysis and sampling

14) Drive and support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma programs

15) Conduct internal audits to monitor the quality of product and work with managers to develop corrective action steps to correct deviation

16) Assist food safety and quality awareness training

17) Collect and compile relevant quality statistical data is also part of the quality supervisor description

18) Conduct and monitor the analysis and inspection of raw materials and final products to ensure compliance with set specifications

19) Perform other duties as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the beverage industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in quality assurance supervision

Compensation and Other Details

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
