Associate Controller

Job Description

Our client, a leading meat company, is looking for an Associate Controller with solid Accounting experience. Specifically, we are seeking an individual who is able to handle the following responsibilities:

1) Serve as support to the day-to-day responsibilities of the Controller

2) Meet financial accounting objectives

3) Analyze accounting data and produce financial reports, as needed

4) Provide analysis of all general ledger accounts

5) Review bank statements and daily composites

6) Ensure that month-end closing journal entry postings are completed

7) Prepare all month-end reporting

8) Analyze AR/AP on a weekly basis

9) Complete and provide customer cost analysis

10) Participate and support audits

11) Support all aspects of Accounts Payables and Receivables functions

12) Work with sales and operation on all ad hoc requests

13) Perform other tasks as assigned

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the meat industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in accounting

Compensation and Other Details

Base Salary: Highly competitive package, commensurate with experience
