Maintenance Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a driven individual with a passion for the confectionery industry. One of our clients is looking to add a strong Maintenance Manager to their team. Responsibilities include:

1) Prioritize safety through leadership, work procedures and employee safety programs

2) Foster a collaborative working environment across all departments of the organization

3) Drive a continuous improvement mindset

4) Lead, manage and develop the Maintenance Team to ensure they have the resources, skills and support required

5) Provide clear and active leadership and coaching to drive high standards of operation

6) Optimize department costs through effective resource planning and management

7) Prepare, review and approve cost estimates, budgets, bids, and contracts

8) Maintain and continuously improve the manufacturing facilities and equipment enabling the organization to deliver on key performance standards

9) Focus on reducing equipment downtime through the design and implementation of preventative maintenance programs

10) Manage the maintenance, repair and operations stockroom optimizing inventory levels

11) Manage facility and maintenance work performed by outside vendors

12) Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the maintenance and technical work performed

Critical Requirements

1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field

2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)

3) Recent experience in the confectionery industry is strongly preferred

4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in maintenance management
