FABRIC REPRESENTS  

Fabric is a strategic creative agency that specialises in the fashion, retail and lifestyle space. 

We help our clients unlock commercial growth by creating disruptive brand platforms with big culturally potent ideas at the heart. We do this by uniting strategic rigour with compelling brand storytelling and design. 

We are a team of specialists, backed by the TBWA Group, with the ability to scale up and across subject matter experts across strategy, creative, PR, social and in-house content and production. 

A Business Director IS insightful, curious with an active interest in brands and communication within the fashion, retail and lifestyle space.  

You will help drive and deliver culturally relevant campaigns that sets us apart from any of our competitors. Assisting in the creation, ideation and delivery of projects across the strategy, creative and production teams within Fabric.  

As a natural problem solver, you’ll build and maintain close professional relationships with senior clients and be an integral brand partner to drive ideas forward that make positive impact for their business. 

You will be part of a dynamic team who believe in the power of ideas, design, and communication to create well-crafted brand experiences across all platforms. 

Working on some of our biggest clients, you will be responsible for championing brilliant ideas and implementing effective project delivery. 

THE TASK AT HAND  

A Business Director is responsible for:  

  • Managing and delivering end to end projects from brief through to final delivery 
  • Ensuring the agency is meeting the client’s needs and working with all the key functions that go into creating strategic, creative and production agency outputs 
  • Having a good understanding of clients' business including audience, their brand and competitors 
  • Driving the campaign strategy and providing an informed point of view in response to the brief, challenging and shaping the work, and building the relationship with the client 
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to solve key business issues with the Client Partner 
  • Leading day-to-day client relationships and nurturing the relationship, delivering high standards of client satisfaction, measured through feedback and surveys Lead relationship 
  • Project pricing, profitability and management of large budgets. Providing accurate monthly project and production forecasts with oversight from Client Partner 
  • Collaborating with the broader agency (TBWA) when required, and collaborate in order to drive growth for the group 

Your scope will include but not limited to the following:  

  • People   
  • Conducting annual 360 reviews for direct reports and regular KPI assessments  
  • Being able to deliver timely feedback and an ‘always on’ feedback loop approach for continuous development and to breed a learning culture  
  • Product   
  • Manage multiple projects autonomously from brief to completion 
  • Help seek, mould and sell 'ideas that make us uncomfortable’   
  • Diversify our client’s business by cross selling the wider Fabric and TBWA group offering  
  • Commercial  
  • Creating master timing plans, cost estimates and controlling production process’ financially in order to improve cost efficiencies and profitability 
  • Be profitable and be creative in how we get remunerated using Value Based Pricing (VBP)  
  • Leadership   
  • First escalation point  
  • Day to day client management  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO FABRIC 

Skills  

  • 5+ years’ experience in the industry  
  • Experience working with retail clients 
  • Experience working on design led projects 
  • Experience liaising directly with senior clients and taking projects from brief, strategy, creative through to production and delivery 
  • Experience managing stills and motion shoots 
  • Have a clear understanding of marketing communications and agency processes  
  • Ability to work and manage multiple projects autonomously (and collaboratively) from brief to completion  
  • Strong communication and presentation skills  
  • Exceptional organisation and ability to think critically to troubleshoot in advance  
  • Collaborating with the broader agency (TBWA) when required, in order to drive growth for the group 

Knowledge  

  • Background and interest in fashion, retail, lifestyle, design and branding is a bonus (but not essential) 
  • Deep understanding of client’s business and competitors   
  • Integrated, or a digital native with a clear understanding of marcomms across all brands   
  • Strong experience managing financial processes   
  • Experience creating master timing plans, cost estimates and controlling production process’ financially to improve cost efficiencies and profitability   
  • Ability to deliver high standards of client satisfaction, measured through feedback
