Evoenergy Vacation Program – Vegetation and Inspection

  • Casual position
  • $36.02 per hour plus 25% casual loading
  • Free parking

Vacation period: 9 December 2024 - 21 February 2025

The opportunity: 

We are seeking a collaborative and proactive undergraduate to join Evoenergy’s summer Vacation Program within Vegetation and Inspection. 

This opportunity will provide you with on the job coaching as you build your professional and technical skills by engaging in meaningful and impactful work. 

The program will provide invaluable practical experience to conceptualise your studies. We want you to be determined to provide solutions, be open to learning new things, be passionate about energy and willing to collaborate in a team environment. 


A day in the life:

As a vacation student working within Vegetation and Inspection, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Work with variety of data types, including structured, unstructured, spatial, and LiDAR. 
  • Contribute to the development of a proprietary application using Django framework. 
  • Apply Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts from your coursework to solve real-world problems. 
  • Build and experiment with graph databases, such as Neo4J, to analyse complex network data. 
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals, receiving mentorship and support while working on impactful projects. 

Preferred area of study: Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) 


Eligibility:

  • Be in the process of completing an undergraduate degree from a university – in your second last, or last year of study. 
  • Have completed coursework or have experience in python programming 
  • Desirable if you have completed courses in Machine Learning, AI, or HTML/CSS 
  • Be curious and passionate to work with different datasets and in applying your knowledge of ML/AI in practical settings. 
  • Have Australian working rights. Candidates on student visas are welcome to apply.
