Evoenergy Vacation Program – Environment, Sustainability and Planning Approvals

• Casual position
• $36.02 per hour plus 25% casual loading
• Free parking

Vacation period: 9 December 2024 - 21 February 2025

The opportunity:

This opportunity will provide you with on the job coaching as you build your professional and technical skills by engaging in meaningful and impactful work. 

The program will provide invaluable practical experience to conceptualise your studies. We want you to be determined to provide solutions, be open to learning new things, be passionate about energy and willing to collaborate in a team environment. 

A day in the life:

As a vacation student working within the field of Environment, Sustainability and Planning Approvals, you will have the opportunity to: 

• Learn about regulatory requirements and impacts for utility companies, such as Evoenergy. 
• Research opportunities on contaminated land management and best practice waste management activities. 
• Identify any local opportunities for circular economy partnerships. 
• Investigate opportunities for improving visualisation of environmental information – including dashboards on greenhouse gas emissions, resource consumption and waste generation.   
• Contribute to project impact assessments including input into development applications or relevant planning approvals. 

Preferred area of study (and skills): Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, Town Planning, Data and Analytics.  

Eligibility: 

• Be in the process of completing an undergraduate degree from a university – in your second last, or last year of study. 
• Have Australian working rights. Candidates on student visas are welcome to apply.
