Data Analyst
Evoenergy has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst within our Works Enablement group to strengthen our data analytics capabilities across Evoenergy. Using your business acumen, operational and analytical thinking skills, complemented by your specialised expertise in advanced visual analytics, you will assist Evoenergy to achieve its strategic objectives.
About this opportunity
The Data Analyst will query, analyse and present data from a range of sources to provide new insights into Evoenergy’s asset management strategies, operational processes and procedures, and to meet our regulatory reporting obligations.
Working with financial, works management, customer, consumption, asset and network data, you will analyse business requirements, consult with stakeholders and deliver solutions through data visualisation. Using your advanced analytical techniques, you will produce meaningful insights for strategic and operational decision-making by analysing data and building dashboards.
The Data Analyst will take opportunities to develop automated solutions for process improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and configure innovative visual analytics products (including dashboards, reports) using a range of available applications such as Rstudio/Posit, Python, SQL server, Power Query and Power BI.
- Analyse capital and maintenance programs of work, network reliability, customer data and asset performance to provide robust advice and drive operational decisions and achieve divisional objectives
- Maintain and improve existing dashboards and regulatory reporting
- Automate data processes, including the checking of data validity and data transformation
- Use statistical software at an advanced level to build models and conduct scenario analysis.
- Find opportunities for and develop automated approaches to business processes
- Handle sensitive information responsibly
- Other duties within the position holder’s skill, competence and training as directed
About you
- You take active steps to ensure the safety of your colleagues and our community, championing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
- Tertiary qualifications in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Commerce, Data Science, or Actuarial Studies
- Experience using Power BI or similar business analytics software as well as experience using R, Python, SQL, or other coding experience
- Experience solving technical problems in a multi-disciplinary team
