About the role: 

Evoenergy has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join their Ground Assets team, within the Network Services Group. The Project Engineer will undertake underground distribution design projects using their technical knowledge to facilitate the development of complex engineering solutions. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Performing calculations and assessments for various design criteria including network analysis, and overhead line, streetlight and LV drop calculations
• Review building and development proposals and provide detailed technical advice to customers, developers, industry and government agencies in relation to these proposals
• Analysing and understanding customers’ enquiries and requests, often within a multi-disciplinary technical environment, to accurately formulate a response and/or project scope of works
• Continually review performance and business and customer requirements in order to identify opportunities to improve workflow and commercial outcomes to reflect business and customer needs
• Other duties within the employee's skill, competence and training.

Our ideal candidate: 

• Advanced Diploma, or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering (essential), degree in electrical engineering (preferred)
• Demonstrated experience in design for complex electricity distribution projects focused on distribution networks, including overhead and underground networks, chamber substations and street lighting
• Demonstrated experience, sound knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment relating to the electricity distribution industry, particularly in regard to customer initiated electricity network infrastructure works
