Do you have a passion for discovering, creating and producing content that engages audiences, and amplifies brand visibility? If so, we want you to join us in our newly created role as Branded Content and Social Media Manager.
At Esri Australia, our mission is to make Geographic Information Systems (GIS) more accessible, turning this powerful technology into a widely recognised resource that drives business decisions and transformation. As part of the Boustead Geospatial Group, we provide geospatial solutions not only in Australia, but also across Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, Bangladesh, all powered by Esri’s world-leading geospatial technology – ArcGIS.
This role is a unique opportunity to shape our content strategy and social media presence across all these markets, helping to amplify our role as leaders in the geospatial industry. You’ll have the creative freedom to discover, develop, and distribute stories that elevate our brand, leveraging different content formats and channels to make an impact across diverse audiences.
About the Role
As our Branded Content and Social Media Manager, your day will be dynamic and varied, filled with opportunities to lead content creation and shape our social media strategy. You take charge of identifying key stories, creating compelling content, and optimising social media to drive engagement.
Here’s what a typical day will look like:
- Content discovery, production and creation: Stay ahead of industry trends and identify impactful stories that highlight how geospatial solutions address business challenges. Seek opportunities to enter new markets and bring geospatial to a broader audience – making our expertise more visible. Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to brainstorm and develop fresh content ideas that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Social media strategy and execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that enables the production and curation of high-quality content aligned with brand and business goals.
- Monitor and optimise: Analyse content performance across channels, refining strategies based on insights to ensure content resonates with target audiences and aligns with business objectives, adjusting your approach as needed to improve engagement and reach.
- Content distribution: Manage branded content distribution across multiple platforms, including social media, websites, industry publications, and podcasts. Ensure all content is optimised for each platform to maximise reach and engagement, incorporating SEO best practices and leveraging digital PR to enhance visibility and reach.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the marketing leadership team and BGG executives and key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment between brand building, content creation, social media strategy, and broader company goals.
By the end of each day, you’ll have contributed significantly to raising our brand profile and driving new business value through creative content.
About you
- Experience: At least 8 years of content production experience, with a proven ability to identify and craft compelling stories that lift brand visibility and leverage trends to drive engagement with new and emerging audiences. Experience in B2B or geospatial-related industries is a plus.
- Content production expertise: Excellent storytelling abilities, with experience producing a variety of content types (videos, articles, infographics, social media posts, etc.). You are skilled at finding new ways to share our stories and can leverage different formats and channels to engage diverse audiences including those who have not traditionally engaged with geospatial solutions or technology.
- Curiosity and insight: A keen eye for spotting emerging trends and a passion for uncovering stories that showcase the value of geospatial technology. You stay on top of what's trending and know how to leverage topical themes to drive business outcomes.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure content aligns with broader business objectives and brand messaging.
