About the Role

As the Industry Training Lead, you will lead the design, delivery, and implementation of training strategies across the APAC region.

Your primary objective will be to equip stakeholders across the geospatial community—including education, industry, academia, and government—with the knowledge and tools they need to leverage the power of Esri technology effectively.

Working collaboratively with teams across the region, you’ll contribute to building a vibrant ecosystem of geospatial talent, supporting business growth, and fostering innovation.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Business Growth and Operational Leadership:

  • Manage an indirect team of 3–5 reports while leveraging a broader pool of virtual training resources.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative team culture that promotes growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Oversee and manage revenue targets, optimising resources for country-specific and regional training programs.
  • Monitor and manage the team P&L, aligning training solutions with sales and customer needs.
  • Develop targets and objectives to support the growth of the APAC Knowledge and Workforce Learning Centre.
  • Provide performance metrics and act as a key escalation point for training issues.

2. Learning Strategy Development:

  • Define and implement regional training strategies, considering market maturity, total addressable market (TAM), and industry needs.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps, skill demands, and trends.
  • Work with government agencies to secure funding for credentials and skills development programs.

3. Program Design and Delivery:

  • Design and oversee training programs tailored to the needs of APAC’s geospatial community.
  • Leverage innovative methodologies and delivery methods to enhance learning experiences.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends and technologies to ensure our programs remain industry leading.
  • Proactively engage with C-suite executives and other leaders to position Esri Singapore as a premier collaboration partner.

4. Learning Program Management:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of programs, including scheduling, enrolment, and logistics.
  • Monitor revenue quotas and ensure the effectiveness of learning initiatives through feedback and performance metrics.
  • Continuously refine training programs to align with evolving industry needs.

5. Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and external partners to incorporate industry expertise.
  • Act as a spokesperson for our company across APAC about learning and development initiatives, ensuring alignment with client needs.

6. Knowledge and Change Management:

  • Prepare the organisation for product, industry, or academic shifts impacting training needs.
  • Oversee the deployment of LMS platforms or other systems supporting training clients.
