About the Role

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Design, build, deliver and support innovative location-based web application solutions using modern frameworks.
• Work closely with the Development Manager and offshore project managers to deliver project deliverables in a timely manner.
• Teach, share, engage with would-be GIS developers through workshops, exhibitions, and training delivery.
• Get involved in all stages of a project life cycle including conducting requirements study with end users, solutioning, system and design documentation and application support and maintenance. Provide technical inputs for any tenders.
• Pro-actively stay updated on latest ArcGIS and relevant IT technology.

About You

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer with excellent English communication and stakeholder engagement skills, ready to bring their advanced development expertise to our organization. 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 5 recent years of solid development/programming experience.
• Experience in using Node.js and Python
• Experience with Web User Interface Development - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular.js, React.js or Vue.js would be desirable.
• Experience in RESTful web services, Jira, Bitbucket, Gulp, Bower, Slack, Postman is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and be able to communicate accurately and efficiently with other team members to ensure risks, issues, estimates, and delays are clearly understood.
• Strong teamwork skills to deliver best-in-class solutions with our team. Actively contribute to identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and selecting optimal solutions to meet market needs.
• The ability to take ownership of your work and manage priorities across multiple projects.
• Please note you must hold relevant and current working rights in Malaysia.
