About the Role

The Business Systems Manager will lead the optimisation and governance of core business systems across Boustead Geospatial Group (BGG). This role involves partnering with the business to achieve desired outcomes from core business applications, managing a team of analysts and administrators, and driving efficiencies and cost reductions across multiple business units and countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent, high-quality support and delivery of core business applications.
  • Ensure support SLAs are met.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of core business systems, from implementation to decommissioning.
  • Lead procurement and sign-off process for new systems and technologies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and cost-efficiency.
  • Provide strong leadership to a team of analysts and administrators, cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability and innovation.
  • Support team member’s professional growth and training to ensure expertise remains current.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure that core business systems align with BGG goals and objectives.
  • Utilise the team to ensure all systems and applications remain compliant to security and data governance management frameworks. 

About You

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Manager who excels in managing technical teams, optimising business systems, and delivering exceptional service. With a strong technical background and business acumen, you will bridge the gap between business and technical teams, ensuring seamless operations and fostering collaboration.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar or management role, with proficiency in managing technical teams, business system operations, and service delivery.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong emotional intelligence in a business setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships, foster collaboration, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between business and technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of data management governance and enterprise architect principles, ITIL best practices and project management frameworks (e.g., Prince2).
  • Knowledge of enterprise system integration, cloud solutions, and cost optimisation strategies.
  • Experience in an ISO 27001 certified organisation, with a strong understanding of data security and regulatory compliance.
  • Full permanent working rights in Australia.
