With different technical and industry strengths, we are united in our love for what we do. We are each committed to delivering real outcomes, and our unwavering work ethic makes sure of it.

As we continue to evolve and grow our business, we are looking for new ways to work more efficiently and more effectively. That’s where you come in!

About the Role

Esri Australia’s Solution Engineering team designs impactful geospatial solutions, leveraging modern technology to address complex spatial challenges and drive client success. As a Senior Solution Engineer, you’ll use your GIS expertise to support software and service sales, partnering with Sales to deliver technical insights throughout the sales cycle. You’ll help qualify and close strategic opportunities, guiding clients’ purchasing decisions across our product suite.

In this role, you’ll work closely with clients to understand their needs and envision tailored solutions. A skilled technical storyteller, you’ll create and deliver presentations and demonstrations, including at industry events, engaging with stakeholders at all levels. You’ll also lead the development of technical content for bids and proposals, presenting a strong value proposition.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide solutions, ideas, and advocacy that bridge the gap between spatial technology and business outcomes.
  • Understand a client's needs and explore with them how they can benefit from the full potential of GIS in their organisation.
  • Prepare bids and technical proposals that demonstrate a compelling value proposition for the client.
  • Drive adoption of software use and new technologies by maintaining current knowledge of technology, key industry domains, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape.
  • Support sector-, account-, and opportunity-level sales and marketing activities.
  • Undertake knowledge development and promote knowledge sharing within the team and company.
  • Represent Esri Australia solutions at various webinars, conferences, and user events through presentations that showcase our technology and services.
  • Contribute to the effective management of customer information and revenue reporting within Salesforce.

About You

  • Solid experience working in a consulting environment and interacting at all levels of an organisation, both internally and with clients.
  • Experience in the Resource sector is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to diagnose a business problem and seek creative solutions in enterprise IT environments.
  • Proven ability to design and present complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies and solution selling.
  • Substantial energy, commercial acumen, and a can-do mindset.
  • You must hold current permanent and full-time working rights in Australia.
  • Attitude and behaviour align with Esri Australia’s core values.
