Are you a strategic financial professional with a passion for optimising financial systems and driving business performance? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where your expertise in finance and technology contributes to commercial success?

Esri Australia is the exclusive local distributor of Esri's world-leading Geographic Information System (GIS) software and a key member of the Boustead Geospatial Group (BGG) - the largest network of ArcGIS specialists outside the United States.

Our cutting-edge geospatial technology is transforming the way we work, live, and interact with the world, helping shape a better future. As we continue to grow and evolve, we’re looking for exceptional talent to drive our mission forward.

About the Role

In this pivotal role, you will provide vital financial support and commercial insights, with a strong focus on our Professional Services and Managed Services teams. You will also play a key role in governing and optimising our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, ensuring they align with our business objectives and comply with corporate policies and regulations.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Leading the governance, optimisation, and data accuracy of ERP systems.
  • Managing and improving financial processes within and outside core systems, including training and user guidance.
  • Overseeing cloud hosting vendor relationships and cost optimisation for Managed Services.
  • Reviewing project performance, contracts, and profitability insights.
  • Assisting department managers with budgeting and financial interpretation.
  • Supporting legal and commercial teams on contracting and compliance matters.
  • Delivering ad-hoc financial reporting and analytics for the CFO.

This is an exciting opportunity to drive financial innovation, enhance data governance, and partner with stakeholders to strengthen Esri Australia’s financial operations.

About You

You are a highly skilled finance professional with a keen eye for detail and a natural ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights. You enjoy working in fast-paced environments and have a strong understanding of ERP systems and financial governance. Your ability to collaborate across teams and drive process improvements will be key to your success in this role.

To thrive in this position, you will bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification with a Bachelor's degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a financial management role, ideally leading a small finance team.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and experience leveraging technology for financial efficiency and governance.
  • Industry experience in Software/IT (preferred).
  • Strong change management skills, with a track record of embedding financial policies and procedures.
  • Commercial acumen, with a curiosity to understand cost drivers and provide finance business partnering to other units.
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills, with the ability to present insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset that aligns with Esri Australia’s core values.
