About the Role

As part of our Development Services team, your key responsibilities as a Senior Developer will include:

• Design, build, and support innovative location-based applications using modern frameworks, leveraging your expertise to meet client requirements.
• Collaborate with the Development Manager and offshore project managers to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables, using effective communication and coordination.
• Share your knowledge with aspiring GIS developers through workshops, exhibitions, and training sessions, mentoring and guiding others in the field.
• Participate in all project life cycle stages, including requirements analysis with end-users, solution design, system documentation, and application support. Additionally, provide technical input during tender processes.
• Proactively staying updated on the latest ArcGIS and relevant IT technology advancements. You will continuously enhance your knowledge and skills to ensure that you are up to date with the latest industry trends.

About You

We're seeking a talented and experienced Software Developer to join our innovative team. As a key team member, you'll leverage your advanced development skills to create cutting-edge Geospatial solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior developer, with a preference for candidates who have experience as a full-stack developer.
• Strong proficiency in web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (Angular, React, or Vue).
• Experience with backend development using Node.js, .NET, or Python.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with external services.
• Familiarity with development tools like Jira, BitBucket, Visual Studio, Slack, and Postman.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable switching tech-stack based on project requirements.
• Comfortable working with custom SDKs.
• Please note you must hold relevant and current working rights in Malaysia.
• Attitude and behaviour align with BGT’s core values.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with geospatial data and analysis.
• Experience on developing geospatial applications.
• Experience on Esri and ArcGIS technologies.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
