Esri Australia is the exclusive local distributor of Esri's world-leading Geographic Information System (GIS) software and a member of the world's largest group of ArcGIS specialists outside of the United States — the Boustead Geospatial Group.

Our technology is shaping the way we work, live and play — today and into the future — creating the world we want to see.

We are continuously evolving and looking for new ways to grow. That’s where you come in!

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Events Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of high-impact corporate events. These include user conferences, senior leader forums, corporate hospitality, tradeshow participation, Subject Matter Expert (SME) programs, and speaking engagements.

The role is pivotal in fostering business relationships, generating excitement around our organisation, driving new business opportunities, and enhancing brand visibility.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, Events & Community to deliver the annual event series across Australia, ensuring all programs align with strategic objectives.
  • Partner with the Chief Marketing Officer, Senior Marketing Manager, Events & Community, and key stakeholders to define goals, priorities, and expected outcomes for each event.
  • Lead event planning, briefing, and debriefing sessions, including the preparation, distribution, and management of event documentation, agendas, action items, and post-event reports.
  • Coordinate the seamless execution of in-person and virtual events, managing logistics, administration, evaluations, and analytics from start to finish.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of accepted abstracts and gather feedback from both audiences and speakers.
  • Prepare detailed briefs for the creation of event assets in collaboration with relevant experts. These may include website banners, PowerPoint slides, tradeshow booth designs, merchandise, collateral, agendas, name badges, stage settings, sponsorship materials, promotional content, and digital assets.
  • Oversee the production of event-related materials, including staging items (e.g., booth designs and slide decks), documentation, promotional mail-outs, communication with stakeholders (delegates, sponsors, staff, speakers), and website updates.
  • Manage and update event budgets, workplans, registration records, and purchase requisitions to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Provide administrative support for sponsorship acquisition, including the creation and execution of agreements, as well as ensuring all entitlements are delivered as agreed.

About You

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Events Manager who is passionate about creating memorable onsite and virtual delegate experiences that reflect and enhance our market-leading brand.

What we’re looking for:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering both large- and small-scale corporate events within fast-paced and innovative environments.
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent proven experience in events management or a related discipline.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Practical experience in measuring marketing campaign ROI to demonstrate event success and alignment with business goals.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and deliver outstanding results under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with vendors, suppliers, speakers, and entertainers.
  • Proficiency in managing workflows for third-party platforms, including registration systems and engagement tools like Slido.
  • Expertise in using technology-driven event tools, such as conference apps, websites, and webinar software.
  • Previous experience in the Software or Technology industry is highly desirable.
  • Must hold permanent, full-time working rights in Australia.
  • A professional attitude and behaviours that align with Esri Australia’s core values.
