About the role

Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a dedicated Sustainability Planning Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in driving sustainable practices through strategic planning and operational integration.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide expert technical advice on best practice infrastructure and built environment certifications and ratings (such as, ISC, GBCA, NABERS, ESD).
  • Lead transformation and change management required to ensure integration of sustainability design and lifecycle principles in project planning, design, construction, and operation.
  • Prepare templates for internal use and contribute to briefing documents, specifications, and reports for internal and external stakeholder use.
  • Build templates and systemise sustainability considerations into internal processes, including business case development.
  • Conduct comprehensive research, industry benchmarking, and modelling to support project delivery and BAU operations.
  • Report on current and expected sustainability performance, including conducting ‘what if' scenario analysis to inform decision-making and project management.
  • Manage application and business integration of sustainability certification and rating tools, such as the ISC rating tool/Green Star Scorecard, including calculations needed to meet credits.
  • Understanding of lifecycle analysis and assessment tools and software, with the ability to communicate results and options effectively to different stakeholders.
  • Enable greater strategic alignment with climate-related risks and opportunities, such as developing climate adaptation plans.
  • Liaise and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver high performance on best practice infrastructure and build environment accreditation, ratings, and/or standards.

Qualifications, Certifications and Licences

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainable Engineering, Built Environment or a similar discipline.

Skills and Experience

  • Specialised professional with demonstrated experience in a similar/professional role within the following industries: Consulting- Environmental, Energy/ Electrical, Infrastructure, Built Environment, Utilities, Construction.
  • Preferred 5 - 10 years of industry experience.
