Position Purpose
Endeavour Energy is seeking a visionary leader to take on the role of Head of Engineering Design. This pivotal position will guide our engineering design processes, ensuring our infrastructure projects are innovative, efficient, and sustainable while aligning with our broader strategic goals.
As the Head of Engineering Design, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for our engineering design team.
- Drive the development of high-quality, forward-thinking infrastructure designs.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Oversee projects from concept to execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Play a key role in shaping the future of our network.
Key Accountabilities
- Leadership in Design Engineering: Lead and oversee the engineering design team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration to deliver high-quality designs for infrastructure projects.
- Project Development: Drive the design phase of projects from concept through execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Innovation and Efficiency: Promote the integration of innovative design practices and cutting-edge technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce time-to-market. Focus on streamlining design processes, improving workflows, and incorporating automation where possible.
- Sustainability: Advocate for sustainable design practices, focusing on energy efficiency, environmental impact, and future scalability.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver tailored engineering solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality assurance processes to review designs and ensure they meet technical specifications and performance criteria.
- Resource Management: Manage resources effectively, balancing project demands with team capabilities to ensure timely delivery and optimal performance.
- Professional Development: Mentor and develop engineering staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and foster career growth.
- Budget and Cost Management: Work closely with project managers to develop budgets and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications, Certifications and Licences
- Degree qualification in Engineering preferred, Business, and Design also considered
Skills and Experience
- A strong background in engineering design and project delivery.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing team.
- A deep understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- A strategic mindset with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
