About the Role  

We are looking for a Nutrition Course Writer to join our academic team. This role is a fixed-term 6-month contract, working remotely from any Australian location. The Nutrition Course Writer will be responsible for creating the curriculum for a series of nested postgraduate courses in the field of nutrition. This is an exciting opportunity for a subject matter expert to develop a modern and engaging suite of courses for accreditation by the Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency (TEQSA). 

Key responsibilities:  

  • Design and develop high-quality course structures and subject outlines at AQF levels 8 and 9, ensuring alignment with the College’s templates.
  • Identify key content areas and appropriate assessment items that align with the College’s pedagogical approach.
  • Collaborate with content and industry specialists to inform course development, including professional bodies where relevant.
  • Conduct benchmarking exercises against other domestic and international offerings to ensure competitive and innovative course content.
  • Develop mapping documents that align AQF requirements, College graduate attributes, and course outcomes.
  • Conduct research to support the development of learning materials and ensure they meet current industry standards.
  • Develop and review core learning and assessment materials to ensure they are engaging and effective.
  • Assist the Head of Regulation and Accreditation with tasks related to accreditation requirements and incorporate governance feedback into course materials.

About You: 

  • Hold a postgraduate qualification (at least Masters level) in nutrition or a related field.
  • Possess extensive experience (5+ years) in the field of nutrition.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing curriculum and a strong understanding of higher education pedagogical frameworks.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive research and integrate findings into course materials.
  • Experience with accreditation processes and familiarity with AQF requirements and guidelines.
