In the role of Edmonton Terminal Operations - Summer Student, you will assist Terminal staff with building and grounds maintenance and housekeeping and support with general labour activities. It’s an excellent foundational work term for people who are looking to gain exposure in the oil and gas industry.
Placement Details:
This is a 4-month summer student placement starting in May 2025 located in Edmonton, Alberta.
What you will do:
- Labor support alongside Operational team mentors.
- Grass cutting.
- Minor painting (terminal roadside road markers/barriers).
- Warehouse/Shop and yard cleanup.
- Window/Vehicle cleaning.
- Attend and participate in Safety Meetings and exercises.
- Assist with administrative tasks (filing, data entry, scanning/copying).
Competencies you will develop:
- Detailed safety best practices for tools/equipment.
- Understanding and appreciation for what safety means in the energy industry.
- Practical knowledge of machining/manufacturing/engineering as it relates to tools and equipment.
- Safety training including fire risk and prevention.
- High level understanding of how the energy industry works.
Who you are:
- You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.
- Positive demeanor and self-starter.
- Effective and professional communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions, wearing Fire Retardant Clothing.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion).
- Willing and able to perform physical labour.
Working Conditions:
- Field-based role, located in Edmonton, AB.
- The Edmonton terminal is not accessible by public transportation
- Free on site parking
- Relocation assistance is not provided.
Please note that this is a role providing contract labour to Enbridge through Raise, who manages Enbridge’s Student Contractor Program. If you are selected for this position, you will be employed by Raise and will not be an employee of Enbridge.
