In the role of Engineering Services - Summer Student, you will work closely with the regional engineering and specialist team to support various tasks and initiatives.  It’s an excellent job for students who are interested in pursuing a career in the energy industry. 

Placement Details:

This is a 4 month placement starting in May 2025, located in Sarnia, ON.

What you will do:

  • Assist with identifying missing Maximo assets that should be maintained and tracked. Work with team to add assets.
  • Assets may include industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, motors, transmitters
  • Assist with research and analysis.
  • Data entry using Excel, SharePoint.
  • Collaborate with team members to solve technical challenges.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travelling to stations/terminals within Eastern Region (ETR) to collect data and photographs

Who you are: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Process), Mechanical Millwright, Instrumentation & Control Engineering Technology or Electrical Technology and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term. 
  • Familiarity with flow diagrams and P&IDs.
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint).
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Valid Full G Class License (or equivalent)
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

Working Conditions: 

  • Office, located in Sarnia, ON with up to 50% travel to various sites within the region
  • Relocation assistance is not provided. 

Please note that this is a role providing contract labour to Enbridge through Raise, who manages Enbridge’s Student Contractor Program. If you are selected for this position, you will be employed by Raise and will not be an employee of Enbridge.
