In the role of Business Development Co-op student, you will work closely with the business development team to identify and develop new growth opportunities, support strategic growth initiatives, and contribute to the company's efforts in consolidating and expanding its market presence. This internship will provide you with exposure to the energy industry, valuable market analysis experience, and a chance to contribute to high-impact projects.

Placement Details:

This is an 12 month co-op placement starting in May 2025, located in Calgary, AB.

What you will do:

  • Support the team in developing proposals, presentations, and other business development materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, finance, and operations, to understand project requirements and align business development strategies.
  • Analyze industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements to help inform the company's business development strategy.
  • Attend client meetings and industry events to represent the company and gather insights on market trends and competitor activity.

Scope of work:

  • Your contributions will have a meaningful impact on the company’s growth and strategic direction.
  • You will play a key role in assisting with business growth opportunities that directly influences business development efforts and long-term success.
  • This role offers a high degree of independence, allowing you to take ownership of tasks and projects, make recommendations, and actively contribute to key business decisions.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks ranging from market analysis to preparing internal and external communication materials and proposals, giving you a broad understanding of the energy infrastructure landscape and a well-rounded experience in business development.
  • The diverse nature of the work will keep each day dynamic, with the chance to engage with different teams and explore different facets of the energy sector.

Who you are: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program enrolled in 2nd or 3rd year in a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Communications, International Business, Engineering and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Interest in the energy infrastructure sector
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • being able to maintain confidentiality, especially with handling sensitive documents and company information
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

Working Conditions: 

  • Office-based role with occasional travel, located in Calgary, AB.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
