In the role of Indigenous & Community Engagement Summer Intern, you will organize and input data that supports coordination and actions for financial and non-financial commitments in agreements; payment and financial support; overall support for regional day-to-day engagement and projects. 

Placement Details:

This is a 4-month paid summer internship starting in May 2025, located in Calgary, AB.

What you will do:

  • Assist with tracking and entering agreements in the Enbridge Contract Management database.
  • Data entry and reporting in our Stakeholder Information Management tool.
  • Support the team with monitoring, tracking and monthly financial reporting and reconciliation.
  • Involved in supporting the team’s delivery of the corporate citizenship program by assisting with payments for grants, payroll donations and payment reconciliation
  • Develop and maintain various reports using power bi.
  • Event and large meeting support which includes coordination and onsite support
  • Development of PowerPoint presentation and organization of MS Teams
  • Write an Internship Review report outlining experiences observations and areas that could use improvement

Who you are: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Native or Indigenous Studies, Community Engagement, Communications, Environmental Science, Engineering, Library Studies, Business or related discipline and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term. 
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion).
  • Having a background or strong interest in finance is an asset.
  • Preference may be given to a candidate who identifies as Indigenous (First Nations, Metis, Inuit).

Working Conditions: 

  • Office-based role, located in Calgary, AB.
  • Approximately 90% Office, 10% Travel/Community Field work.
  • Relocation assistance may be available. 

Please note that this is a role providing contract labour to Enbridge through Raise, who manages Enbridge’s Student Contractor Program. If you are selected for this position, you will be employed by Raise and will not be an employee of Enbridge.
