Description:

The Document Control Specialist in this role will manages release and control of updates to project instructions, specifications, drawings and other documentation and will support Major Projects.


Responsibilities: 

  • Controls distribution of new releases and recall/destruction of obsolete documents, both electronic and hard copy, according to SET retention rules. 
  • Responsible for manual and electronic archiving of documentation according to SET retention rules. 
  • Comprehension of engineering and project documentation.  


Qualifications: 

  • 7-10 years of experience  experience in document control with previous experience working in a project environment working in engineering and/or pipeline related industry
  • Familiarly of Engineering drawings and deliverables, process of procurement of records 
  • Experience in the flow of a project
  • High level of experience with maintenance, distribution, and turnover of project records throughout the lifecycle of multiple projects.
  • Information/Business Analysis/Records Management Diploma or comparable post-secondary education and related experience.
  • Strong computer skills are required with proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive, Teams, PowerBI, SharePoint, Knowledge of Nintex Forms and Workflows.
  • Experience and/or developer knowledge of SharePoint and/or other document control systems.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent analytical, interpretive, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Excellent people skills with an ability to share experience and knowledge with others is required.
  • Possesses keen attention for details.
