Position Overview: 

We are seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to assist our Contract and Compliance Customer Support Representatives (CSRs) in supporting the Direct Purchase (DP) Market. This role is essential in maintaining positive client relationships and ensuring contract compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Maintain and develop positive relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Contract Preparation: Prepare for DP contract renewals by reviewing, analyzing, and updating consumption volumes as required.
  • Tracking and Compliance: Assist with tracking DP renewals, amendments, compliance items, credit exposure, and terminations. Ensure practices adhere to Enbridge policies and contract compliance.
  • Issue Investigation: Investigate anomalies for meter and billing issues; act as a liaison between our team and the Billing team within Customer Care Operations, including tracking responses.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze and reconcile end-use cycle account consumption reports with banked gas reports.
  • Customer Support: Answer common questions from DP marketers, customers, and internal groups. Investigate and assemble information requested by our marketers and customers.

Must Haves:

  • Education: Business, Finance, or Math degree OR Business or Finance College diploma & 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Technical Skills: Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite) and familiarity with database concepts, query tools, and general business applications. Strong math skills are essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze large volumes of data.
  • Multitasking Ability: Ability to perform multiple work assignments at varying stages of completion with a high degree of accuracy while working to tight time constraints and changing priorities.
  • Industry Knowledge: A broad understanding of or ability to quickly learn the direct purchase and distribution contracting business.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others and negotiate.
  • Professional Skills: Strong professionalism, communication, collaboration, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and drive results independently.

Nice to Have:

  • Industry Experience: Understanding of Direct Purchase contract administration, customer billing, and/or financial systems.
  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of ConTrax, Enerline, SAP CIS, WEBi, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word.
  • Contract Knowledge: Understanding of Large Volume (natural gas) contract language and rates.
  • Customer Service Experience: Demonstrated front-line customer service/contact experience.
  • Market Experience: Experience in the natural gas and/or utilities market.
