Responsibilities: 

  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing and commissioning mechanical equipment while following safe operating practices at all times is the focus of our Mechanical Technicians.
  • Responsible for emergency response including first responder duties as well as maintenance on-call to provide 7 day - 24 hr. coverage.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all rotating and associated equipment, including valves, tank mixers, pumps, motors, turbine and/or PD meters, sampling systems, relief systems, and material balance systems.
  • Coordinate activities with Supervisors, Planners/Schedulers, other Mechanical Technicians, Electricians Technicians, CCO, Regional Support, contractors and PLM as required to plan, schedule, and execute all work safely, efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure that maintenance work is performed in compliance with regulations and company O&M procedure requirements.
  • Comply with all company policies.
  • On call as required for emergency response and maintenance.
  • Complete and stay current on all required safety and technical training.
  • Maintain facility records and update drawings as required.
  • Use maintenance software to document maintenance work.
  • Develop and execute equipment lockouts.
  • Assist Electrical, Operation and PLM Technicians as required.
  • Assist project teams with construction activities as assigned.
  • Execute one-call requests and crossing reports. Line locating when required.
  • Maintain facilities for cleanliness, safety and security.
  • Knowledge of all piping and valve configuration of base station, ROW including valve sites and control points, sampling locations, remote pump stations, and ROW transmitter sites.
  • Knowledge of instruments required for troubleshooting, monitoring or analyzing rotating equipment parameters or problems such as laser alignment or vibration analysis.
  • Supervise Contract Personnel.
  • Mechanical SME for assigned area

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Mechanical Technician Diploma/Certificate from a recognized technical program, and/or
  • Journeyman Certificate in a Mechanical Field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industrial field or Enbridge Mechanical Technician
  • Possesses essential computer skills to work with existing and developing programs such as Maximo, MS Office, and a variety of equipment analysis interfaces and dataloggers
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driver abstract
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Above average analytical skills.
