Description:
The Project Controls Coordinator (PCC) plays a critical role in the development and implementation of project controls planning and oversees all project controls cost deliverables for assigned projects within the Major Projects business unit. These projects typically exceed $100 million annually, span multiple years, and involve a high level of complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the development of the overall Project Execution Plan.
- Develop and maintain project controls deliverables, including but not limited to:
- Cost Report and Cost Variance Analysis
- Cash Flow Report and Variance Analysis
- Project Change Management Procedure to Project Controls Plan
- Monthly Progress Report integrating cost control and scheduling functions into a seamless team.
- Define project controls resource requirements and perform quality control on all deliverables to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Take a lead role in coordinating the collection of deliverables for Phase Gate Review meetings according to the 5-Phase Project Lifecycle.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to project controls and project systems functional groups based on actual experiences gained during the implementation of new tools, processes, or procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related technical discipline with relevant industry experience.
- 10+ years of experience with engineering and construction capital projects, with a preference for pipeline industry experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) credential is preferred.
- Ability to be effective within a matrix organizational structure.
- Specific knowledge and experience in cost processes and issues related to pipeline and plant facility projects.
- Familiarity with best management practices for project cost control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, EcoSys, Oracle Cloud, and Power BI.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and work with a reasonable level of supervision.
- Excellent communication and interaction skills in a team environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
